Erratum, Retraction & Withdrawal Policy (REJMP)
We believe that maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record is a collective effort. Whether an error is accidental or a matter of ethics, we handle these situations with transparency and care.
1. Correcting the Record (Erratum)
Honest mistakes happen. If an author, editor, or reader spots a significant error in a published article, please let us know at editor@plvurdo.com.
-
What to provide: Mention the article title, DOI, and page number, along with a clear description of the necessary change.
-
The Process: Once the Editorial Office approves the correction, we will publish an official Erratum in the current issue.
-
Fees: There is no processing fee (0 Pesos) for publishing an erratum, provided the author agrees to the correction.
2. Retractions
Retracting a paper is a serious step taken to protect the scientific community. Following the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines, we may retract an article if:
-
There is clear evidence that the results are unreliable (whether due to misconduct or major calculation errors).
-
The research involves unethical practices, such as plagiarism or lack of proper consent.
-
Our Commitment: We will post a clear "Notice of Retraction" explaining the reasons and linking it to the original article to prevent the spread of flawed data.
-
Note on Fees: Please be aware that the Article Processing Charge (APC) is non-refundable in the event of a retraction.
3. Manuscript Withdrawal
We encourage authors to be certain of their work before submission. Withdrawing an article after it has entered the peer-review or acceptance phase is generally discouraged, as it can be a sign of academic misconduct. However, we understand that exceptional circumstances arise.
-
Criteria: Withdrawal is only considered if authors discover significant flaws or errors before formal publication.
-
Approval: You must submit a formal application to the Editorial Office explaining your reasons. If approved, a processing fee of 0 Pesos applies.
-
Completion: A withdrawal is only "official" once you receive a confirmation email from us and the manuscript is removed from our submission system.
