Artificial Intelligence Policy

AI Usage Policy

For Authors

We welcome the responsible use of Generative AI, provided it aligns with our ethical standards. If you’ve used AI to assist in your research or writing, we ask for full transparency:

  • Disclosure: Clearly state which tool you used (including the version) and exactly how it helped your work.

  • Placement: Include this information in your Methods or Acknowledgments section.

  • Responsibility: AI is a tool, but the human author is the one accountable for the work. Our editorial team will review these disclosures to ensure they meet our standards for integrity and original scholarship.

For Editors

Our editors are the guardians of your research’s privacy and quality. To protect your intellectual property:

  • Confidentiality First: Editors will never upload unpublished manuscripts, data, or images into AI platforms. Because many AI tools "learn" from what they are given, doing so could compromise your data or lead to unauthorized leaks.

  • Authorized Use Only: AI may only be used for internal tasks (like basic language polishing) with the express permission of the Editor-in-Chief. This ensures that the human touch remains central to our decision-making.

For Reviewers

We value your unique expertise and professional judgment. To maintain a fair and secure peer-review process:

  • No Outsourcing Analysis: Reviewers must not use AI to summarize or analyze manuscripts. We want your expert insights, not a machine-generated overview.

  • Strict Privacy: Under no circumstances should any part of a submission be uploaded to an AI tool.

  • Personal Accountability: While you may use AI to help polish the clarity of your written feedback, you are solely responsible for the accuracy and fairness of your final review. Your critique must be your own.
